These are some really great clips from a Q&A with Paul Washer. In these clips he addresses calling on God through prayer, the power of the Holy Spirit, how to witness faithfully, and the relationship of apologetics to evangelism. The full video is available at sermonaudio.com.

hmm don’t really remember, oh yea, im not sure that presup. apologetics are the only ones that are ok. i like classical, and i think that they are very useful.

You might be right. I’m unsure. If someone else said that I’d probably disagree, but I think I know what you mean when you say it. And I’m not sure Paul Washer would say classical apologetics are useless (but he might). I think the main point he’s making is that in classical apologetics there’s no call for repentance, there’s no conviction of sin, it’s just a debate, and that’s what he wants to guard against, and I’d bet you’d agree that intellectual debates just puff up pride on both sides, while scripture humbles and convicts (but if you don’t, interject). That’s what he’s saying I think. But you’ve certainly studied these things more than me and probably know the history of presup vs classical way better than I do.
To sum up, classical apologetics are useless if there’s no call for repentance, and a call for repentance can be made without classical apologetics.
